Our Mission Statement

Our organization Living Kiddush Hashem was founded with the goal
of imbuing every Jew with a powerful sense of mission – the mission
to be mekadeish sheim shomayim in his or her own unique way.

We strive to accomplish this by raising awareness of the paramount
importance of the mitzvah of kiddush Hashem and its centrality in everything we do.

FROM THE PUBLISHER

The secret of living a fuller, richer life can be revealed in three words: GIVE LIFE MEANING.
And the secret of finding meaning in life can be found in two words: KIDDUSH HASHEM.

In his first book, Living Kiddush Hashem, Rabbi Shraga Freedman explored the many dimensions of Kiddush Hashem,
of sanctifying Hashem’s Name through our everyday actions and efforts.  Since its publication, many readers have shared that the
concept of making Kiddush Hashem a core of their “mission statement” has enriched and often transformed their lives.

A Life Worth Living is designed to make the spiritual concepts of Kiddush Hashem relatable, practical, and doable. It includes hundreds of stories of Jews, from gedolim to grocers, from the famous to “people just like us,” who sanctified Hashem’s Name in either dramatic encounters or just plain day-to-day life. Every section includes “Takeaways,” “Make it Practical” tips, and “Discussion Points,” to help bring the concepts into daily life.

We all want to live well. A Life Worth Living shows us how.

“Kiddush Hashem: the focus of our lives. Underlying our mitzvahs, our Torah study, our ethical and moral lives is one overriding concept: Kiddush Hashem, sanctifying Hashem’s Name… It’s our never-ending mission… But what, exactly, is Kiddush Hashem? How do we sanctify Hashem’s Name? As a practical matter, what should we do?… Making a Kiddush Hashem can be as simple as a smile – and as complex as the labyrinth of life itself. This book will enable us to master this concept, and make it the focus of our days. We can live a life of Kiddush Hashem. This book is our roadmap.” (Artscroll review)
